Overview
A wired vocal microphone for singers, presenters and spoken-word events. The Shure SM58 combines a cardioid pickup pattern with a vocal-focused frequency response, a built-in pop filter and a shock-mounted dynamic capsule to reduce handling noise.
Work close to the grille for a fuller vocal sound, keep the grille clear of your hand and aim the microphone away from loudspeakers. Connect its balanced XLR output to a microphone input on your mixer or audio interface; the dynamic capsule does not require phantom power.
