Overview

Compact HDMI-to-IP converter for live production and streaming. One ZowieBox switches between encoder and decoder modes: send HDMI video over the network, or decode a supported network stream to HDMI. Supports NDI|HX2/HX3, H.264/H.265, SRT, RTMP(S) and RTSP. Encoding and decoding reach up to 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps; HDMI passthrough reaches up to 4K at 60 fps and is not 4K60 encoding. Full NDI is not supported. Browser-based control and Gigabit Ethernet suit camera feeds, presentations and display distribution.

Frequently asked questions

Can it encode 4K60?

No. The HDMI loop-through can pass up to 4K60, but the encoder/decoder processes up to 4K30 or 1080p60. A 4K60 input does not produce a 4K60 network stream.

Can one box encode and decode at the same time?

No. Select either encoder or decoder mode; encoding is disabled in decoder mode. This is one switchable device, not an encoder-and-decoder pair.
