Overview

A compact wireless clicker for talks, training sessions and slide presentations. Move forward and back through slides without returning to the laptop, launch the slide show and blank the screen in supported applications. The red laser is useful on a projection surface, but is less visible on LCD and plasma screens. The R400 uses its matching USB receiver rather than Bluetooth; allow for a suitable USB port and test your presentation software before the audience arrives. Wireless range is up to 15 metres, depending on the room and computer setup.

Does it work with a Mac or any presentation app?
Do not assume universal compatibility. Logitech specifies Windows 10/11 or later, not macOS or Linux, for this model. Slide-show and blank-screen buttons depend on the application. Test the exact computer, adapter and presentation beforehand; a USB-C-only laptop needs a suitable USB-A adapter.
What is required for a working setup?
The rental includes one Logitech R400 clicker, its matching USB receiver, two AAA batteries and a carrying pouch. Plug the receiver into the presentation computer and switch the clicker on. Test the presentation controls in your software before use.
How should I use the laser safely?
Never look into the beam or point it at people’s or animals’ eyes. Avoid reflective surfaces and keep the pointer under adult control. Use it only when needed on a suitable projection surface. The red spot may be difficult to see on LCD or plasma displays and is not transmitted as a digital pointer in a video call.
What if the slides do not respond?
Check battery charge and polarity, the power switch and the receiver connection. Bring the clicker closer to the receiver and test in the actual presentation application. Keep the matching receiver with the clicker; if necessary restart the computer, as advised in the setup guide.
Is 15 metres guaranteed in every room?
No. This is the manufacturer’s maximum stated wireless range, not a guaranteed working distance. Obstructions, radio interference and the computer setup can reduce it. Rehearse from the furthest speaking position and keep the receiver within a reliable operating distance.
